New Jersey wants more jobs. Businesses want lower taxes. So awarding nearly $33 million in tax credits to a company that plans to bring 332 jobs to Atlantic City seems like a fair deal, right?

Atlantic City Contact Center LLC was the latest to receive a substantial tax credit. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority awarded the call-center company $3.27 million in tax credits annually for 10 years, so long as the company meets certain criteria and stays for 15 years.
